Guild Hall's Summer Foreign Film Series

Tuesday nights through July and August, Indy film writer and director Gavin Wiesen will host "(Re)Discovering World Cinema: Gems from the Janus Collection," in the Guild Hall Boots Lamb Education Center. This is a celebration of the lesser known, but no less masterful works, of Ingmar Bergman, Francois Truffant, Michelangelo Antonioni, Luis Bunuel, Hiroshi Teshigahara, Maurice Pialet, Peter Weir, and Jean Renoir. The series is as follows:

July 1 - Smiles of a Summer Night (Bergman, Sweden/1955)
July 8 - Viridiana (Bunuel, Spain/1961)
July 15 - Shoot the Piano Player (Truffaut, France/1960)
July 22 - Woman in the Dunes (Teshigahara, Japan/1964)
August 5 - A Nos Amours (Pialat, France/1983)
August 12 - Picnic at Hanging Rock (Weir, Australia/1975)
August 19 - Rules of the Game (Renoir, France/1939)
August 26 - L'Eclisse (Antonioni, Italy/1962)
