Program and Performances Schedule- August 4-10
Star Lab August 4th 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm
No need for the night to stargaze this summer. Take a tour of the stars in an inflatable planeterium. Age 7 and up $3 with museum admission.
Live at the LICM Theater- Circus Mondays with the National Circus Project.
Each week different performers from the national circus project will arrive at our theaters to introduce and perform many circus acts such as balancing, Juggling, clowning and much more! Come watch the pros and then try it yourself. Ages 3 and up $3 dollar with museum admission

Join us in our backyard as we flock together to create bird feeders from recycled materials. we'll feed our feathered friends as we learn a way to help our environment!
Science fun Tuesdays- August 5th 2008 at 1:30pm
Join Lee Knight of Books Alive as she works with the audience to bring popular chilrens books to life on satge through acting and music. This week we will be readin staurday Night Dinosaur Stomp by Carol Diggory Shields. Age 5 and up $3 with museum admission.
Origin of the Olympics
The Modern Olympic games are very differnt from when they first originated many centuries ago. Come take a tour of ancient Greece and become familiar with the ancient olympic games as they were held in 776 B.C. Experience the Olympic events yourself and produce an ancient greek vase painting to record your victories.
Innovation Dance- August 6th at 1:30pm
Join dance visions as they present Innovation in dance, an exploration into cotemporary dance. Watch this innovative dance troupe incoporates themes of science and visula atrs in their presentation. Ages 3 and up
Summer Artists series: Henri Matisse-"Wild Beasts" In French Collage August 6th at 3pm
French Artists Henri Matisse's fame is spread to all continents. Where did Matisse get inspiration for his collages? why was France the start of many new styles of art? Find out the answers as you create your own Matisse-style collage to take home. Ages 6 and up.
Nature Thursdays "Wildman" Steve Brill- August 7th at 1:30 pm
Did you know that their is a dozen of delicious things growing in your own backyard? Join "wildman" Steve Brill as he brings many of these wild foods into the museum to discuss, share and taste. You'll will never look at you backyard the same ever again! This week we will explore berries! Ages 5 and up
Friday Fun Story Live on WLICM -August 8th at 1:30pm
Join us at the LICM theater and learn how old time radio shows were created. using stories we all know and love help create live broadcast as we add sound effects, character voices, old time radio ads, and live audience sounds. When the Broadcast is complete you will be able to go into the museum and hear your broadcast replayed over an oldtime radio. Ages 5 and up.
Globetrotters - August 6th 10:30am-12:30pm, and August 8th at 2pm-4pm
Join us as we take off on adventures in far away places. This week your Globetrotters passport takes us to China, as we Explore the art of the Bamboo book making. Did you know that the first people in china to leave written records lived during the Shang Dynasty(1776 to 1122 B.C.) Writers made chinese characters on strips of bamboo. The bamboo strips were tied together with string and rolled up for easy carrying. make your own mini book to mark a special memory in your life. Age 3 and up.
