Hofstra University presents The Greatest of All Time: Muhammad Ali. This exhibit celebrates the life and success of Muhammad Ali featuring photographs, special events and opening reception on Sept. 23, 2008 at 4:30 p.m.
The photographs in this distinctive exhibition capture Ali’s life, including his boxing career, family life, humanitarian work and Olympic events. The photographers include: Annie Leibovitz, Gordon Parks, Steve Schapiro, Thomas Hoepker, Sonia Katchian, and Art Shay, among others.
Special Events Include:
Nov. 13-15 at 8 pm: Fightin' Words! - A spoken word performance conceived and directed by Bob Spiotto.
November 11 at 4 pm: Float Like a Butterfly: Muhammad Ali as an African- American Icon - A lecture by Dr. Joseph McLaren.
