Annual Scarecrow Competition

Election Day is just around the corner for unique sixfoot scarecrows that will stand and guard along the winding pathways of the Stony Brook Village Center Main Street on the Harbor. The Creations will be part of The Ward Melville Heritage Organizations 18th Annual Scarecrow Competition.

Official entry forms are now Available in most Stony Brook Village Center shops and at the offices of WMHO at 111 Main St, 2nd floor, in Stony Brook. Categories are professional, Adult/Family and Childrens. Registration deadline is September 22 and there is an entry fee of $10. All Scarecrows will remain on display through Halloween. Winners will be notified October 29th and receive cash prizes which will be awarded at WMHO's annual Halloween festival, beginning at noon on Ootober 31st. Public will judge the entries and visitors to the Stony Brook Village center are invited to cast their vote for their favorites from September 28th to October 26th. Voting Ballots are available in all Stony Brook Village Center Shops.
