HAUPPAUGE, NY –(August 18, 2008)- Hundreds of people entered the I LOVE NY Short Film Contest, and now New York State is inviting you to view the finalists and also to vote for your favorite.
The contest invited amateur filmmakers to submit their 60-second “take” on the beauty and diversity that New York offers to residents and visitors. The entries cover a wide range of subject matter and locations.

Voting ends August 31st.
The winning short will be announced in the fall and will be aired on
television. Other prizes include professional HD video equipment, scholarships
to film workshops, New York vacations, and more. There are also special awards
given for student filmmakers and regional films. In addition to the grand prize,
awards will be given to the top young filmmakers (18 and under), the top student
filmmaker (student at a NYS college/university) and six regional winners.
