Press Conference To Announce USA Water Polo Competition Coming To Nassau County, Long Island

Why: The Long Island Sports Commission, a division of the Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau, is proud to announce that this summer, from July 6-10, Long Island will host the 2005 FINA World League men’s and women’s water polo competition at the Nassau County Aquatic Center. The league, which features the globe’s best National Teams competing for their share of nearly $500,000 in prize money, is the top competition in the sport during non-Olympic years. This is an opportunity for spectators to see highly skilled, Olympic-caliber competition up close and personal.
