STONY BROOK FILM FESTIVAL PASSES NOW AVAILABLE ON-LINE THROUGH LONG ISLAND CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU’S NEW WEBSITE, FUNONLI.COM
HAUPPAUGE, NY -(July 11, 2005)- The Long Island Convention and Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission (LICVB&SC) is making it easier for visitors to the official Long Island tourism website, www.funonli.com, to plan a full day or evening excursion on Long Island, including ticket purchase and restaurant reservations.
The initial launch of the website’s booking engine is linked with the Stony Brook Film Festival July 21-30 at the Staller Center for the Arts. Visitors to www.funonli.com can secure a Festival Pass for all 21 features and 14 short films and receive a bonus tote bag. Or individual tickets can be ordered. While at the site, visitors can also book a reservation at participating restaurants before or after the show, and explore the many other things there are to see and do on Long Island by location or date.
“The website provides a one-stop source to find everything there is to do on Long Island, and to book tickets and make dinner reservations,” said Evan Liebman, manager of partnership services at the LICVB&SC. Developed for the Bureau by Expedite Video Conferencing Services, Inc. of Westbury, NY, the booking engine will be expanded in the near future to include other events and attractions
The Stony Brook Film Festival is the premiere must-see film event on Long Island, featuring new, independent and foreign feature and short films.
The Long Island Convention & Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission (LICVB&SC) was established in 1979 as a marketing arm for the destination’s nearly $5 billion travel and tourism industry.
