The museum covers Long Island's maritime history with exhibits, programs and great events. The 14 acre site includes 5 historic buildings and a working boat building shop and floating exhibits. Annual events include the Antique and Classic Show (July) Seafood festival (Aug) and Halloween Boat Burning (October) Changing boating and marine exhibits,local small craft collections, maritime history exhibit and 19th century oystering vessel.
